I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
